If you are one of those who do sports regularly, you should know that without proper shoes you cannot perform your training correctly. Making a mistake in choosing good shoes for your training, be it running, CrossFit or another type of sport, can make exercise very unpleasant and not get all its benefits.

The right shoes will make your workout that much easier and more enjoyable, just as the wrong shoes will do the exact opposite.

A poor choice of shoes can lead not only to blisters or sluggishness, but also to stress fractures, knee injuries, strain or tendonitis, and other injuries.

How to Choose Shoes Correctly?

Each training shoe must meet three criteria:

  • Strength and durability – The athletic shoe must support the ankle, and be durable on both sides and heel. The best option is to securely hold the laces, which are tightened when necessary.
  • The sole that slides us – The sole of the training shoes must be non-slip and elastic to satisfy all movements (such as lunges or running)
  • The right size and shape – Be very careful when choosing the size. Have your foot measured in a specialized store, or trace its shape, so you can choose the size according to the length of the insole. If you have a problem with your feet, such as flat feet or bunions, don’t be disappointed. Athletic shoes are made for your feet, just ask the sellers.

It is necessary to test the shoes in a proper way.  If you order online, don’t be afraid to do so, and ask any questions you have. If you visit a physical store, consult a specialist, and check that all movements must be comfortable.

What is the best brand for training shoes? None. There are thousands of foot shapes, thousands of types of athletic shoes, and each one is different. It depends on everyone’s preferences and the type of sport to choose.

Training shoes are made in every way and you should choose one that is functional for your type of training, and that you like at the same time.

Investing in Good Shoes Will Pay Off

The shoes high quality training are more expensive, but worth spending more to deal with problems with the locomotor or buy new ones every six months, because the former have worn a lot.

What Shoes Should You Not Train in The Gym With?

Leisure slippers. Leisure sneakers are made for walking around town. Some are not even reinforced with templates.

You can imagine doing squats with them or jumping CrossFit boxes, things that could cost your ankles, knees, or even microfractures in your feet.

Running shoes. Although it is definitely a better option, they are unfortunately not very appropriate. Running shoes are, as the name suggests, suitable for running. They have a different elastic sole, different support, and are reinforced differently than a training shoe.

They have a sole that could slip off during gym exercises or in a CrossFit room. Also, running shoes are generally bought one size larger (for the space in front of the toes) and this is not good for training shoes.
